The late 60’s were a chaotic time at the Fender Factory, where some guitar quality wavered, but this isn’t one of the duds! Jaguars in the late 60’s are hard to come by, but they feature the coolest specifications in the offset world including block inlays, fully bound fretboards, big CBS headstocks, and bright pickups. This one rings as clear as a bell while staying balanced (it's one of the more powerful sounding Jags we’ve had in the shop) and has some serious play time under its belt as evidenced from the wear on the body. This guitar is a special one, and we’re sad to see it go, we know we won’t ever get one like it. If you love 60’s Fenders but want to pay half the price for a Jaguar than you would for a Pre-CBS one, this is the guitar for you! The back of the neck finish is played smooth for the most part but still has some gloss to it. The neck has been shimmed with a StewMac 1 degree shim for optimal playability.
