Lilac Guitar Lounge presents a first year, 1962 Fender Jaguar in Sunburst, in all-original, collector’s grade condition, with its original hardcase. This one is clean as can be, and is as near to “Mint” as we’ve had in our shop. If you are a fan of the oddball Jaguars, you know this is a special guitar. The very first Jaguars, released in 1962, featured “Black-Bobbin” pickups (as this one does), which were more mid and bass heavy than the later “Grey-Bobbin” pickups that Fender implemented in 1963. The original pickups in this Jaguar are the most balanced Jag pickups we’ve had at our shop, and are ready for the studio or the road! We’re very excited to pass this onto the next owner, albeit with some jealousy- this one is a keeper. Original 3 color Sunburst Nitrocellulose factory finish, factory original amber nitrocellulose finish on the neck.
Fretboard Radius:
7.25” radius Brazilian Rosewood veneer fretboard with ‘clay’ dot inlays, with its original frets.
Nut Width / Neck Measurements:
1.6”(41mm) wide at the nut / .8" (20mm) deep at first fret, .94" (24mm) deep at twelfth fret. Neck heel is stamped "1AUG62B." 1 is the code for Jaguar, "AUG62" for August 1962, "B" for the standard Nut Width.

Original Black Bobbin Jaguar Pickups, original leads and wiring, original volume and tone potentiometers dating to the 32nd week of 1962.
