Lilac Guitar Lounge is proud to bring you this 1978 Fender MusicMaster in factory Black finish. This guitar is completely original, light, resonant, and vibed out! It sounds spectacular with its lone single-coil neck pickup, and is a joy to play, as well as representing a period of Fender history in the late ‘70s. Year: 

1978

Finish: 

Black Polyurethane finish on body. Polyurethane finish on back of neck, Nitrocellulose finish on the front of the headstock.

Fingerboard Radius: 

7.25" radius, ‘Veneer’ Rosewood fretboard, which is worn in places from consistent play. Some finish is flaking on the edges of the fingerboard where it meets the maple, caused by consistent use.

Nut Width / Neck Measurements: 

1.59”(40.6mm) wide at the nut / .93"(23.7mm) deep at first fret, .99"(25.3mm) deep at twelfth fret. here is some flaking of the finish along the edges where the fingerboard meets the maple backing of the neck (see photos).

Weight: 

6 lbs, 9 oz. (2.9 kg)! An exceptionally light and resonant example especially relative to other guitars made by Fender in the ‘70s.

Electronics: 

Original Single-Coil Neck Pickup - Neck: 5.6k ohms. Original Pots that date to 1978 (see photos).

Hardware: 

All original, some fret wear and no corrosion on the hardware.

Modifications:

Neck is shimmed for optimal action.
